Creating a Run Cycle
This Tutorial will show you how to create a run cycle using Pose Controls in a few short steps.
Requirements: A Run Cycle File , a Motion Builder Character.

Step 01 - Open a new Scene and Drag in your Motion Builder Character
Step 02 - In the Story Tool Drag in the FBX File and attached it to the Character

Step 03 - Find a 2 Poses that are close to identical. One near the Beginning of the file and one near the end. Set the timeline to wrap these two point at the start and end of the file.
Note: If the poses are not 100% exact that's ok. However, The Closer they are the less fixing that needs to be done

Step 04 - Plot the Character to the Control Rig and Turn off the Story Tool
Step 05 - Go to the first frame of your animation. Select the Hips Node and Choose "Full Body" in your Character controls window., Now go to the Pose Controls Tab, Click the + Sign to add a pose.
Step 06 - Turn off the Translation Z Box in the Pose Control Window. Make sure to leave Rotations on.
Step 07 - Go to the last frame of your animation and Paste the Pose in the Pose Control window, Then Key it on layer 1. Now go Back to your first key and add a Zero Key
Step 08 - You'll need to fix any foot slides or any irregularities as the pose blends towards the end of the file.
Step 09 - You now have a looping run cycle that should match up seamlessly.
